Travel had been an exciting feature at our school for many years and was part of SV’s ideology of expanding the students’ horizons. Mrs Wilson was an excellent companion to me as we accompanied a group of grade 12 pupils on an educational trip to the United Kingdom. In London, our tour included viewing a West End musical, Fame, and we also attended the Globe theatre to view Shakespeare’s King Lear.
